ABC Radio interview – Triple whammy on GPs

Dr Ken McCroary, SSWGP Link Chair, was interviewed on ABC Radio, The World Today with Samantha Donovan. He raised the enormous and impossible pressure on GPs asked to roll out the COVID-19 child vaccination program, the adult booster program, and caring for people with COVID-19 during a massive outbreak at the same time without additional resourcing. He also warned against the use of the rapid antigen tests in a high prevalence setting to assume that people don’t have COVID-19.

We’ve got this new triple whammy; kids [COVID-19 vaccination program], adults [COVID-19 booster program], and the disease [acute COVID-19 omicron outbreak]… I can’t do all three things at the same time.
